Elite Force Glocks Version 1 and Version 2 - How to spot the differences

Elite Force Glocks Version 1 and Version 2 - How to spot the differences

When it comes to airsoft Glocks, the market has recently been flooded with different brands and versions all over the community and it honestly gets kind of confusing. I am going to go over the most obvious and confusing Glocks on the market today. That is going to be the infamous Elite Force Glock 17 Gen 4, Version 1 and Version 2.

When the first Glock 17 and Glock 19 hit the market, they were using the older Stark Arms system that VFC cloned. From there, they have updated the system as the newer Glocks and Gens are coming out. Here are some the noticeable differences.

  • Elite Force G17 Gen3 (Version 1 Internals)
  • Elite Force G19 Gen3 (Version 1 Internals)
  • Elite Force G17 Gen4 (Mix of Version 1 and 2 Internals)
  • Elite Force G17 Gen5 (Version 2 Internals)
  • Elite Force G19 Gen5 (Version 2 Internals)
  • Elite Force G19x (Version 2 Internals)
  • Elite Force G18c (Version 2 Internals)
  • Elite Force G45 (Version 2 Internals)

Now to be able to spot the difference the Version 1 and Version 2. Here are some of the more notable parts:

  • Blowback Unit House
  • Nozzle
  • Nozzle Return Spring
  • Spring Guides
  • Hop-Up
Version 1 Blowback Unit
Version 2 Blowback Unit

The Version 1 of the blowback unit housing is going to have the nozzle return spring not attached to the nozzle and the housing. It is going to be free floating, using a small plastic tab as a guide. The Version 2 blowback unit is going to be attached to the nozzle and the housing using a small screw to hold it in place. Easiest way to spot the difference is going to be the nozzle return spring.

Version 1 Spring Guide
Version 2 Spring Guide

Version 1 is going to have a standard spring guide where you have to remove the slide to adjust the Hop-Up. Version 2 is going to have a spring guide that can adjust the Hop-Up wheel. It is noticeable to spot the differences with these since the Version 1 is going to be smooth, while the Version 2 is going to be ribbed with a spiral slot in the middle. You can reference the images above as well.

The rest of the parts are generally going to be the same so nothing to worry about regarding those. The parts that are gone over are going to be the biggest change and do matter when it comes to choosing upgrade parts. Hopefully this guide helps with choosing the right parts.
